Two student groups are decrying an “outrageous” University of Massachusetts Amherst policy that restricts Iranian citizens from enrolling in some engineering and science programs, arguing that the policy is “clearly in conflict with academic values and principles that prohibit discrimination.”
A hacking ring has stolen up to $1 billion from banks around the world in what would be one of the biggest banking breaches known, a cybersecurity firm says in a report scheduled to be delivered Monday.
Official results from 17.6 percent of polling stations counted showed Syriza with 35 percent and Samaras’ New Democracy with 29.3 percent. An exit poll on state-run Nerit TV projected Syriza as winning with between 36 and 38 percent, compared to ND with 26-28 percent.
Although the stolen email information did not contain passwords or sensitive personal information, the company said hackers could deliver bogus messages to trick people into divulging their data, a scheme known as “phishing.”
